My wife and I have been blessed with the privilege to serve
alongside faithful servants of the Lord Jesus Christ both within
New Life Fellowship across Cambodia and among our national
Christian leaders and pastors.

For 31 years, we have witnessed God’s faithfulness as His mighty
hand has transformed countless lives from all walks of life through the ministry of New Life Fellowship. Across different seasons and locations, His power has been evident, bringing hope, restoration, and purpose to countless individuals.

Now, I believe God is calling us to take the next step: to build a
building where: Lives are transformed by the power of the Gospel, Families are nurtured in overflowing love Christ-centered community, Saints are equipped to fulfill their God-given purpose, and Future generations encounter the depths of His presence. Empower communities through life-skills, leadership and love.

THE PATH TO NEW LIFE FELLOWSHIP
CAMBODIA HOME

This aspiration aimed to end the instability of renting and forced relocations. We envisioned the “New Life Center,” a facility serving as both a church and a community hub. To keep this dream alive, we created design prayer cards for members and initiated fundraising efforts.

A pivotal moment arrived in 2007 when a guest speaker delivered a prophecy, connecting the physical building with the mission to “build lives.” By 2012, through diligent saving and fundraising, we acquired land in Steung Mean Chey, perceiving it as the prophecy unfolding. The church celebrated this milestone, reaffirming our commitment to establishing the center and, more importantly, nurturing the lives within our community through its future realization.

In 2003, the leadership of New Life Fellowship Cambodia began to dream — a God-sized dream — of owning a permanent place to worship. It wasn’t just about having a building; it was about creating a space where lives would be transformed, leaders would be raised, and nations would be reached. In 2013, we took a leap of faith and launched our first fundraising campaign. Our worship team captured the heart of our vision with a powerful anthem called “I Believe!” a song that declared our trust in God’s promises even before we saw them come to pass.

In 2014, an opportunity arose. With the help of Mr. Lach Sophy, a faithful church member, NLF entered discussions with ING Holdings Co., Ltd. about purchasing land in a new satellite city in southern Phnom Penh. Our hearts were stirred it seemed like the perfect place. But when we learned the price for just 5,000 square meters, our faith was stretched. It was beyond our means. Still, we didn’t give up. We raised as much as we could, even attempting to sell our land in Steung Meanchey to help fund the purchase. But every offer we received was too low and then, no offers came at all. It was then that we paused and prayed. And God spoke. We remembered a prophetic word spoken over our church: “You will build on the wasted land. ” Suddenly, we knew God was not calling us to sell what we already had. He was calling us to trust Him for something greater

Lach Sophy became a Christian in his early childhood back in early 1990s along with his whole family. He came to NLF in 2000. Sreymeng became a Christian also in her early childhood with her mother and sisters. She came to New Life Fellowship with Sophy in 2005. They both got married in 2010 and got 3 Children Lach Elijah (boy, 13), Lach Emma Metrey (girl, 10) and Lach Elsa Thika (girl, 8). During the course of their faith in New Life Fellowship for more than 25 years, Sophy & Meng are both very committed believers and leaders in NLF and their faith reflected in every
aspect of their lives including at home, at workplace, at non-Christian environment and Christian environment. They are also a very faithful and generous couple by the calling of God. They are always steadfast to honor God with their tithe and offerings. Ever since NLF started Fruitful Season in 2013 through to 2016 and later in 2018 and 2019. They participated every year. They always sought God of the amount to give, and God was always faithful to bring each commitment to pass through various miraculous events in their journeys. Sophy is serving as an Elder of NLF since 2020 and Sreymeng is serving in Worship Ministry and Women Ministry of NLF till this day.
