The implementation plan to achieve the above vision & goals consists of 3 main streams –
-
Informal Education/Tuition/After School Program We provide an after-school program where we will teach our children English, Khmer (Cambodian), and Math weekly. We tutor them for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. Our focus will be on children between grades 1-6. We use the same curriculum as are used in the Government Schools. Depending on the local skills and resources available, we will attempt to provide additional lessons in life skills, character building, and within an educational environment of recreation, play, games, and creative arts.
-
. Teacher Training
We train teachers about children protocol, child protection, and how to discipline children. We aim to train the teachers well so that we can have a group of teachers that can minister to children. Teacher training sessions are conducted three times a year.
-
Children’s Ministry
At least once every two or three months, we have an outreach program involving our students in which we share the gospel through Bible stories, worship music, skits, prayer, and fellowship. Many of the young people have never heard the name of Jesus so we delight in the opportunity to share the love of God with each of them.
